Spear the marshmallows onto a skewer. Use more than one skewer or do in rounds if there isn't enough room to leave adequate hand hold at one end.

Hold over a gas flame and toast. Expect a little burning, it's what happens when you toast food like this and adds to the flavor. For safety's sake, hold the skewer with an oven mitt to protect your hands from heat.
    • If you can't toast this way, place the marshmallows on a baking sheet and broil (grill with heat topside down).

Tips

  • If you like spice, sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg on the top of the milkshake.
  • A milkshake is made thinner by using less ice cream and thicker by adding more ice cream.
  • For a slightly different flavor, add a tablespoon of sour cream.

Warnings

  • Take caution when toasting the marshmallows; they can burn easily.
  • This is a fairly unhealthy way to consume milk. Save it for a treat now and then.
  • Burnt food may contain carcinogens; keep to a minimum.
